Area Information

Searcy is fifty minutes, by four-lane highway 67/167, from the Little Rock metro area and the Interstate 30/40 interchange. Searcy is also the origination point for Arkansas scenic Highway 16, which was listed in the top ten scenic roads in the US by Car and Driver magazine. Highway 16 North is Searcy's outlet to Heber Springs and the 40,000 acres of Greer's Ferry Lake. Arkansas Highway 36, another scenic mountain road, gives Searcians a second egress to the lake and to Cleburne and Faulkner counties. US 64 leads to the crop and bottomland of northeast Arkansas and the two-hour drive to Memphis.
